After each frame it creates another unique frame before the next one, based on key factors in the image before and following images. There are similar technologies that simply duplicate frames, Motionflow 100Hz cleverly applies information to make movement appear even smoother.

Using a group of exclusive Sony algorithms it applies a digital perfecting process to reduce noise and produce cleaner images, higher contrast and smoother motion sequences, resulting in superior overall performance in spite of of source.
This LCD TV looks at each individual scene, calculating the peak brightness level to produce advanced colour and brightness, and optimising the noise level. AppliCast™ enables you see internet information on your KDL40W5500 while you are watching television. You do not have to turn on your PC just bring up the widgets onto the TV screen. There are3 widgets, including a clock and calendar, are already installed on the on screen Xross Media Bar and you can also add RSS feeds of news, weather and more by connecting your TV to the internet via the Ethernet port at the back of the TV. Simply select the information you want with your remote and it's right there every time you need it.
